Pictures!!!

early presents
Originally uploaded by kittensmittens.
I know, I know. I haven't been blogging much. And I've been knitting even less. At least Michelle has been knitting, so I do have a knit item to show you. I got my Christmas present early, some socks (which have already kept my feet toasty) and the cutest little sheep tape measure (which has already told me several time my hat is NOT long enough yet to start the decreases).
And now a few pictures of what I have been up to that is not knitting and not work.

guarding the 'cake'
Originally uploaded by kittensmittens.
My roommate, Kate, will be having her 30th bday pretty soon, but I will be out of town. So I decided to throw a little party on Sunday. Now, I know Kate doesn't have a sweet tooth, but I baked her a razberry brownie anyway. (Which was really tasty.)
Aj, figured she would make Kate a different kind of cake : a beer cake. With 30 candles. (Ophie is just guarding them, she cares)

With all the candles lit, the 'cake' looked so pretty. Kate was very happy with her present.

silly...

So what do you do with so many candles... you stick them to your head. (Only one beer was harmed in this process.)
And that spiffy eyewear, that is my head band.
Oh what will my silly roommate come up with next.

everyone can do it.

... but not a bad idea ...

(I don't think I need to say anything. It somehow seemed like a good idea.)

Christmas tree

Christmas tree

I was feeling the Christmas spirit. Got me a rosemary bush, put some lights and balls in there. Viola, a masterpiece. Ophie just can't stay away. (Have to cover it up at night, because she will bite the lights.)

Knitting again!

New stuff
Originally uploaded by kittensmittens.
Hello everybody, I am knitting again. I took a shower this morning only to put on my sweat pants and a t-shirt and to not leave the house. Haha, 4:30 and still sitting on my butt, knitting.
Suzoo's is having a customer appreciation sale in December. All month long, 20% off. I was there last the weekend (keep reading for that story), but I had to go back for the Lamb's Pride. So soft. One of my friends will be going home to the midwest for the holidays. She will need a bright and happy colored scarf and hat for the occasion. (So what if I have ten million other things cast on, spare needles mean I must not have enough projects going...)

From Yarnlady

Last week, I went to the bagsale from the Yarnlady with Michelle and Monica. First time meeting Monica and she is really cool. She has the cutest doggies, go take a look. And a very talented knitter.
It was a fun morning and I was pretty good. This was all I bought. I can never resist the September 7th, 10 skeins of merino for $30. I'm proud for only getting one bag. And then, I also saw some baby yarn. Twelve skeins, 1 blue, 1 yellow and 10 of this light green (but it looks like someone had a few issues with the dyeing. Do I care, nope, I just look forward to the pattern is will produce.)

Monica drove back south, but I still needed some Addis for my socks and remember that customer appreciation sale at Suzoo's.
Guess what happened next...

Michelle and I went to Suzoo's after a morning of shopping, and did some more shopping. I could not resist this soft lace weight yarn. (And I got some more needles.)
