Been busy (somewhat)

I had all these plans for writing the most fanatastic post ever in the history of bloggin. I can safely say that, because it ain't gonna happen. For some reason flickr is not letting me upload pictures right now. And I can't write the most fantastic blog entry ever without pictures.
So I'll give you just a quick update of what I have been doing. My parents are in town. Can be crazy at times, but this was a good visit. I went to my graduation ceremony and walked and got hooded for my masters. Now I gotta tell you, I didn't really graduate yet. Still need to write that crappy thesis. I won't bore you with the topic, but it's astronomy related.
I finished my first pair of socks. And I love them. I have to admit I do like to knit socks. When I finish one, I get super excited and can't wait to cast on. I love looking at sock yarn with a multitude of colours and watching as they form a pattern while you knit. Excited about what colour will be next. But the small needles, I hate them. And I tend to have a small gauge, makes me hate that even more. So I always gotta go over to a project with bigger needles. But then I go back to the socks and I love it. (Pictures as soon as flickr lets me) These socks are gonna keep me warm on my trip to Hawaii, because I have a job interview there. But it is warm and summer I hear you say... well, I'm going there for astronomy, and they like to put telescopes close to the middle of nowhere on top of high mountains. And it's always cold there. I'll let you know how that goes.

And that is what I've been doing. Oh yeah, lots of progress on my chocolate mocha sweater.
