A real scarf, to keep you warm

One of my little side projects is making a scarf for a friend of mine. I'm following the pattern for the Irish hiking scarf, lots of cables in other words. Now it has reached the point that I just want the scarf to be finished. It now measures a little over 3 ft, but because my friend lives in Pennsylvania, the scarf will actually have to serve a purpose. And that is to keep her warm. Not like sunny SoCal, where a scarf is just to make you look cute. The sun keeps us warm over here.
So, I guess I’ll get back to my knitting, put another 3 ft on there.
