Trip to Palomar

200" Hale telescope

I didn't know anyone "into astronomy" until now. How do people get into these cool subjects and jobs? I was told I'd be sitting behind a desk all my life. Have you been to the observatory on the Big Island of Hawaii?

We stopped once while driving through inland Australia and looked through a telescope at Gilgandra. It was not as big as that one of course. We have always meant to stop in Parkes and see the scope there but so far haven't. Have you seen the film The Dish? It is an Aussie film about the guys who were observing and assisting Appollo 13 I think it was. It's really funny.

I don't get to read everything for a few days, and look at all the stuff you have done! Wow all of it looks great. I like the booty the best I think.
:)
